Discussions should be hierarchical
Reported by Petr Hosek | July 21st, 2011 @ 10:25 PM | in 1.0 Beta 4 (closed)
To allow proper discussions among users, discussions should be hierarchical. Therefore, it should be possible to reply to existing comment and the section content should be displayed in a hierarchical way. Moreover, it should be possible to collapse the whole tree or part of a tree and only top-level comments should be displayed initially for clarity and conciseness (see Slashdot for example).

Of course, I thought about this feature. But at the moment, I suppose it's overengineering.
At the moment we do not have so many comments like slashdot or reddit. -

Without hierarchical discussions, it's not possible to properly react to particular ideas and suggestions. Moreover, if this functionality is not built-in from the start, it would be difficult to switch from flat to hierarchical discussions later.
